Nashville's Own Dog Whisperer

by Charlene Morton

I met Kip Kirby at a dog wedding in Nashville during August 2014, and she is simply a pleasure. Kip has worked with a wide variety of breeds and issues and absolutely loves training dogs. She works one on one with owners, teaching them how to get the best results from their puppies and dogs, using a program of positive, reward-based training techniques and motivation. Kip is a certified clicker trainer, accredited in teaching both dog obedience and agility, and she specializes in helping dogs and people build stronger relationships and better behaviors. In 2002, she became only the second agility handler in Tennessee to earn the prestigious AKC MACH and USDAA ADCH title with her Sheltie, Soundbite. Kip has since trained several agility champions, competed at national levels, produced an instructional training DVD, and written award-winning articles. Check out her website here.
